ET: EasyTracker Source Code and Definition Files

We’ve developed quite a number of applications for clients. We can’t sell you those. Lots of developers have asked us for source code of various types, either to use directly or to model other projects.
  H
ere’s an answer for the serious Zachary/Clipper user who wants to see more of “our stuff!”

ET:EasyTracker is an application we wrote for ourselves, and it includes most of the bells and whistles we’ve created in AD2. It also contains a number of proprietary routines and uses undocumented features in AD2.LIB.
It’s a contact manager and business system. It started with the Contact Manager that comes with AD2. While it does not have a complete accounting system, it includes most of what would be desirable in an accounts receivable system. It’s been substantially enhanced with features like:

  • Client Services & Product Invoicing
  • Billing
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Sales Reports
  • Sales Staff Reports
  • Collection Reports
  • Staff Collection Reports
  • Sales Tax Reports
  • Deposits
  • Credit Card Processing Interface (to link to ICVerify)
  • Letter Writing
  • Form Letters
  • Special Report Maintenance
  • Automatic Special Report production with Invoicing
  • Report Query function
  • Browse Query Function

One of the unique features of the accounts receivable system is that it normally produces a “Balance Forward” statement, and when a detailed statement is desired, since historical detail is maintained, not deleted, a statement can be created that details any particular time period.
Until now, only a few developers have ventured to purchase, inspect and dissect this application’s source code, to discover my secrets. You’ll be getting something that very few developers possess. You can snoop through the custom code, look at the definitions, the U-fields, the conditions for access and see what I’ve done to make things happen.

It may be worth the cost of the source code for just one feature! The additional value is in being able to work through our source code and definition files to see how we made certain things work.
The source code is in constant flux as we revise the program for our custom needs. When you buy the source you receive the source code and definition files “as-is,” as they exist today.

I will warn you that some of the things in here do not work, because they’re “in development.” Some reports are Zachary/DOS and some are R&R Windows. (I’ll give you both the original Clipper source and Zach definitions for reports we converted to R&R Windows so you can snoop through both.)
You get license to use source code and modules in applications (but NOT to sell source or modules to others). No support is offered, although I will support it at my regular consulting rate, if you want it.
For two years we’ve sold ET-EasyTracker software source code for $3000. I’m not going to make you pay that amount. I want to give you the “edge” that serious developers need.
The ET-Easytracker package includes the latest edits to the AD2 2001 Toolkit plus the source code, and the Zach definition files, all that you need to generate this program as it runs on our network right now, ready for your snooping.
ET-EasyTracker Source Code: $ 797.00

Second-Opinion Consultation Certificates
For a long time, our customers have wanted a simple way to get personal consulting on various challenges in their development projects, without entering into a major consulting arrangement. Now you can buy these certificates, in advance, for just that purpose.
Simply send me the certificate with a brief description of the challenge or project you’re working on, and tell me what you want to happen, and how you’ve been thinking of doing it. I’ll personally look over the material and mail you my thoughts on how I would approach the situation. I promise to give you an opinion worth your consideration, and it may be just the breakthrough you’re looking for, or it might save you from big troubles later.
Certificate $300.
Booklet of four certificates $1,000.

Consulting and Development Projects
Occasionally, our staff are available for a full consulting project. Each project is unique and will be considered on its merits.
Database systems are developed for a variety of companies, and are quoted based on the scope of the project.
After discussing the project, the first step is a Feasibility Study in which we examine the project requirements and develop a specific recommendation. Feasibility Studies generally run $10,000 to $35,000, depending on the project.
Development projects typically run in the range of $125,000 to $300,000 and up, again depending on the project. A firm quotation, with options, is created as part of the Feasibility Study.
